Functional MRI of the Identification of Famous and Unfamiliar Faces
Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging(fMRI) was used to collect the data of six subjects who participated in identifying famous and unfamiliar faces. For data preprocessing and statistical analysis,AFNI software was used. The result indicated: The identity of famous faces identification mainly activated the frontotemporal regions and the fusiform gyrus. And the activation of the insula and fusiform gyrus was found in the unfamiliar face identifying task. It suggested that the identification of famous and unfamiliar faces took place in different regions;vision processing of the fusiform gyrus was in the two tasks, but the fusiform gyrus was activated in different degrees.
