Abstract
Management by agreed objectives (MBAO) is offered as a logical development of MBO to meet today's critical need for a simple yet effective method to manage any size of organisation. MBAO provides a vehicle to harness the efforts of everyone in the organisation to the task of achieving its defined strategic objectives so that these objectives become the real goals of every manager.
